Title 1
In efforts to boost the quality of teaching and learning for students most at risk of failing to meet state academic achievement standards, the ARRA provides $10 billion in additional Fiscal Year (FY) 2009 Title I, Part A funds to local education agencies (LEAs) for schools that have high concentrations of students from impoverished families.

IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Act)
The IDEA funds under ARRA will provide an unprecedented opportunity for states, LEAs, and early intervention service providers to implement innovative strategies to improve outcomes for infants, toddlers, children, and youths with disabilities while stimulating the economy.

EETT (Enhancing Education Through Technology)
The primary goal of the EETT program is to improve student achievement through the use of technology in K-12 schools. The program also strives to enable technological literacy among all students by the end of the eighth grade. And, through the integration of technology with both teacher training and curriculum development, establishing research-based instructional methods that can be widely implemented.

State Fiscal Stabilization Fund (SFSF)
The SFSF is a new one-time appropriation of $53.6 billion under the ARRA. These funds will help stabilize state and local government budgets in order to minimize and avoid reductions in education and other essential public services. The program will help ensure that LEAs and public institutions of higher education (IHEs) have the resources to avert cuts and retain teachers and professors.

Race to the Top Fund
The ARRA provides $4.35 billion for the Race to the Top Fund, a competitive grant program that encourages and rewards States that are creating the conditions for education innovation and reform; implementing ambitious plans in the four education reform areas described in the ARRA; and achieving significant improvement in student outcomes.

Committee on Education and Labor
The Committee on Education and Labor provides estimates of the amount of education funding that each state will receive from certain aspects of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. These are estimates only based on available and current data and may not reflect exact allocations that states or school districts receive when these funds are actually allocated.
